Effective date: July 25, 2026
Live-online training is instructor-led and scheduled in real time. It is not self-paced learning. Each participant must be able to see, hear, communicate, participate and complete testing in the approved environment.
No mobile devices: A smartphone or tablet may not be used as the participant's primary class device. Each participant must use an individual desktop or laptop computer that satisfies the requirements below.
Each participant must have:
Participants may attend from the same employer computer lab or room, but each person must have an individual device and individual connection unless Tampa Bay Training approves another arrangement. The host should prevent audio feedback and provide adequate spacing.
Test the camera, microphone, speakers, browser, internet connection and platform access before class. Employer-managed computers may block downloads, cameras, microphones or external meeting platforms, so participants should coordinate with their information-technology staff in advance.
Join early enough to resolve routine connection issues before instruction begins. Technical difficulty does not automatically waive attendance, participation or testing requirements.
Unless an approved accommodation or instructor direction provides otherwise:
Virtual backgrounds may be restricted during identity confirmation or testing if they interfere with observation.
Participants must satisfy the full instructional-time requirement. If a connection is lost, rejoin promptly and notify the instructor using the backup contact method provided for the class.
Brief interruptions may be addressed at the instructor's discretion. Missing required content, exceeding provider absence limits or losing connection during a secured examination may require rescheduling, make-up work or repeating the course. Provider rules control when applicable.
During an examination, the participant must:
Contact Tampa Bay Training before class if a workplace, privacy or accessibility concern affects the standard testing setup.
Only courses identified as live-online may be delivered in this format. Certain provider-controlled courses require advance or class-specific approval. For example, live-online OSHA Outreach Training may be offered only when the applicable authorization and class approval requirements are satisfied.
A live-online format does not convert hands-on operator training into a complete operator qualification. The employer remains responsible for any required site-specific demonstration, practical training, evaluation or authorization not expressly included in the course.
Register early enough for required materials to be shipped. If registration occurs too late for delivery, the participant may be required to print an electronic packet. Some provider-controlled materials or physical cards must be selected and ordered at registration.
Participants may not record, stream, photograph or distribute a class, another participant or course materials without advance written permission. Tampa Bay Training will provide notice and obtain any required permission before recording a session.
Participants should avoid displaying confidential employer information or personal information in the camera background, screen share, chat or assignments.
Contact Tampa Bay Training as early as possible if you need captioning, accessible materials, a testing accommodation, an alternate participation method or help using the platform. Later requests will still be considered, but some arrangements require coordination.
