This Privacy Policy explains how Tampa Bay Training collects, uses, shares, safeguards and retains information associated with our websites, inquiries, registrations, classes, credential administration, consulting and related services.

This policy applies to TampaBayTraining.com and, when launched or expressly incorporated, TampaBayTrainingOnline.com. A registration platform, credentialing organization, payment processor, videoconference provider or learning platform may also have its own privacy policy.

  • Other information you choose to provide.

Please do not send Social Security numbers, complete payment-card information, passwords, detailed medical records or other highly sensitive information through an ordinary website form or email unless Tampa Bay Training specifically requests it through an appropriate protected process.

Information Provided by an Employer or Other Purchaser

An employer, agency, organization or coordinator may register participants and provide roster, contact, prerequisite or billing information. The organization is responsible for having an appropriate basis to provide the information and for limiting it to what is needed.

Information Collected Automatically

Our websites and service providers may automatically collect limited technical and usage information, such as:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • Browser, device and operating-system information;
  • Pages viewed, links selected and referring page;
  • Approximate location derived from an IP address;
  • Date, time and interaction information; and
  • Cookie, analytics or similar identifiers.

Information From Third-Party Services

We may receive information from an event-registration service, payment processor, videoconference platform, email service, learning-management system, credentialing organization, client, referral source or other service used to administer the requested activity.

How We Use Information

Tampa Bay Training may use information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and prepare quotes;
  • Register participants and deliver training;
  • Confirm identity, prerequisites, attendance and participation;
  • Administer assessments, practical evaluations and assignments;
  • Issue or request certificates, cards and completion records;
  • Communicate schedule, technology, material and renewal information;
  • Provide customer service, accessibility support and accommodations;
  • Process payments, invoices and refunds;
  • Maintain business, tax, provider and training records;
  • Improve courses, websites, services and security;
  • Send requested newsletters or marketing communications;
  • Prevent fraud, misuse, unsafe conduct and assessment-integrity violations;
  • Meet contractual, provider, regulatory, accounting and legal obligations; and
  • Protect the rights, safety and operations of participants, clients, Tampa Bay Training and others.

When Information May Be Shared

Tampa Bay Training does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information in the following circumstances:

Service Providers

We may use companies that support website hosting, forms, analytics, email, registration, payment processing, videoconferencing, document delivery, shipping, learning platforms, information technology and business administration. They receive information needed to perform the applicable service and operate under their own terms and privacy obligations.

Credentialing, Curriculum and Government Programs

Information may be provided to the organization that administers a course, examination, certificate, card or regulatory program. Required data and retention practices vary by program.

Employers, Clients and Purchasers

When an organization purchases or coordinates training, Tampa Bay Training may provide appropriate registration, attendance, completion, assessment or credential status information. We do not ordinarily disclose unrelated accommodation or medical details to an employer without authorization or another appropriate reason.

Professional Advisers and Business Transactions

Information may be shared with accountants, attorneys, insurers, auditors or advisers who need it for legitimate professional services. Information may also be transferred as part of a merger, financing, reorganization or sale, subject to appropriate protections and applicable law.

Legal, Safety and Integrity Reasons

We may preserve or disclose information when reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, contract or provider requirements; respond to fraud or security concerns; protect safety or rights; investigate misconduct; or obtain professional advice.

Public-Sector Engagements

Some communications or records connected to a public-agency engagement may be subject to contract terms or public-records requirements. Do not send information to Tampa Bay Training with an assumption that every record can be withheld from lawful disclosure.

Payments

Payments may be processed through a third-party registration or payment service. Tampa Bay Training does not intend to store complete payment-card numbers or card-security codes in its ordinary training records. Review the processor's terms and privacy policy before completing payment.

Cookies, Analytics and Similar Technologies

Cookies and similar technologies may support website operation, preferences, security, analytics, embedded content and measurement. Where a cookie-choice tool is provided, use it to manage available categories. Browser settings may also allow you to block or delete cookies, although some site functions may not work as intended.

Before publication of this policy, Tampa Bay Training will complete a current inventory of analytics tags, advertising pixels, embedded services and WordPress plugins and will provide any choices or disclosures required for the tools actually in use.

We do not currently commit to responding to every browser “Do Not Track” signal unless applicable law requires a response. We will evaluate legally recognized preference signals when relevant to our operations.

Email, Newsletters and Marketing

You may unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the message or by contacting us. We may still send nonmarketing communications needed for registration, payment, course delivery, safety, credentials or an existing business relationship.

Accommodations and Sensitive Information

Accommodation information will be limited to what is reasonably needed to evaluate and provide access. It will be shared only with personnel, hosts or providers who need the information for that purpose, or as otherwise required.

Do not place confidential medical information on a general participant roster. Use the contact process on the Accessibility & Accommodation Requests page.

Your Choices and Information Requests

You may contact Tampa Bay Training to:

  • Correct contact, registration or certificate information;
  • Request a copy of certain information associated with you;
  • Ask that information be deleted when it is no longer needed and no retention obligation applies;
  • Withdraw an optional marketing subscription;
  • Ask how information was used or shared; or
  • Raise a privacy or security concern.

We may need to verify identity and may retain information required for credentials, contracts, accounting, legal obligations, security or dispute resolution. A request involving a record controlled by another organization may need to be directed to that organization.

Data Retention

Tampa Bay Training retains information only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including training and credential verification, provider requirements, client contracts, accounting, legal compliance, safety, security and dispute resolution.

Retention periods vary by record and program. Tampa Bay Training should maintain and periodically review an internal records-retention schedule rather than publishing one universal period that may conflict with provider rules.

Information Security

We use administrative, technical and physical measures designed to protect information in proportion to its sensitivity and our operations. No website, email, transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

If Tampa Bay Training determines that a security incident requires notice, we will follow applicable notification requirements. Individuals should report suspected misuse or an unexpected request for payment or credentials promptly.

Children's Privacy

Our websites and training services are designed for workforce and professional audiences and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect online personal information directly from a child under 13 without an appropriate process. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can review and take appropriate action.

A participant under 18 should contact Tampa Bay Training before registration so eligibility, supervision, consent, course content and provider requirements can be reviewed.

External Links and Services

Our websites may link to or embed third-party websites, videos, registration systems and tools. Tampa Bay Training does not control their privacy, accessibility or security practices. Review the applicable third-party notice before providing information.

Changes to This Policy

We may revise this policy as services, technology or legal requirements change. The updated page will show a revised date. A material change affecting an existing paid service will be addressed in a manner appropriate to the circumstances and applicable requirements.
