Tampa Bay Training courses serve different industries and may be governed by different agencies, curriculum owners or credentialing organizations. This page describes general requirements. The course description, registration notice, instructor directions and applicable provider rules may establish additional requirements.
Participants and organizational purchasers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information. Depending on the course, this may include:
Errors or late changes can delay testing, certificates or credential processing. A replacement fee may apply when incorrect information was supplied by the participant or purchaser.
Register as early as possible. Many courses require participant information at least seven calendar days before class. Printed materials, physical cards, provider approval, mailed packets or requested accommodations may require additional time.
A late registration is accepted only when Tampa Bay Training can still satisfy the applicable course requirements. A participant who registers late may be required to print materials or complete additional preparation instructions.
Participants must satisfy published prerequisites before class. A refresher course may require a current or otherwise eligible prior credential. An operator evaluation may require employer authorization and access to appropriate equipment.
Tampa Bay Training may require government-issued photo identification or another reasonable method of identity confirmation for examinations and credentials. Only information needed for the applicable purpose should be collected.
Participants must attend the complete course and satisfy required instructional time. This includes returning from breaks on time and remaining until the instructor releases the class.
Late arrival, early departure, extended absence, camera absence during live-online training or repeated disengagement may prevent successful completion. Credentialing-body attendance rules control when they are stricter than this policy.
An instructor cannot shorten required instructional hours, combine required days or waive required content merely because a participant has prior experience or a scheduling conflict.
When a course includes discussion, scenarios, role play, hands-on practice, skills demonstration, homework, group work or workplace evaluation, meaningful participation is part of completion.
Participants must follow instructor safety directions and use required personal protective equipment. The instructor may stop an activity when equipment, conditions or conduct create a safety or integrity concern.
Examination format, passing score, retest opportunity and time limit vary by course. Participants must:
Tampa Bay Training does not guarantee that a participant will pass an examination or receive a credential. Completion depends on attendance, participation, assessment, practical and provider requirements applicable to the course.
A participant may request a disability-related testing accommodation. Tampa Bay Training will consider the request promptly and will coordinate with the applicable testing or credentialing organization when that organization controls the assessment.
Documentation requests, when needed, will be limited to information reasonably necessary to evaluate the accommodation. See Accessibility & Accommodation Requests.
Live-online participants must satisfy the Live-Online Training Requirements. Participants are responsible for having the required device, internet connection, camera, microphone, printed packet and authorized materials ready before class.
Course materials are for the registered participant's use. They may not be copied, posted, sold, recorded or distributed except as expressly permitted.
A certificate, card or completion record is issued only after the participant satisfies applicable requirements and the account is in good standing. Some credentials are processed by an external organization and are not issued immediately by Tampa Bay Training.
See Certificates, Training Records & Continuing Education for issuer, timing, correction and replacement information.
If a participant does not satisfy a requirement, the instructor or Tampa Bay Training will identify the reason when appropriate and explain any available make-up, retest, transfer or appeal option. Provider rules may limit those options.
A participant may submit a written appeal within 10 business days of the decision by emailing service@tampabaytraining.com. Include the course, date, instructor, disputed decision and relevant supporting information. Tampa Bay Training will acknowledge the appeal and provide a written response or next step, normally within 10 business days.
If you are unsure about a prerequisite, schedule, technology requirement, assessment or accommodation, contact us before purchasing the class.
