Camp travel scholarships applications due May 1
Children and teens (grades 4-12) who have lost a parent, sibling or caregiver to a roadway work zone incident are eligible to apply for a travel scholarship to attend an Experience Camp. Experience Camps are a national network of free one-week, overnight summer camps and year-round programs for youth who have experienced the death of a parent, sibling or primary caregiver. The Foundation scholarship provides transportation funds for a child and a guardian to the camp, where the child can acknowledge their grief in a safe environment and be empowered with the confidence, skills and support to move forward with their lives.
Those interested must apply to The Foundation’s travel scholarship first by May 1, then to a free Experience Camp directly. Dates and locations for 2023 camps are posted on their website.
Additional information will be posted on The Foundation’s website soon, learn more.
