
Emergency Management Coordinator III – Planning Coordinator
Performs skilled professional work serving as the Planning Coordinator for the Operations Division of the Brevard County Emergency Management Department. Work includes maintenance, planning, review, and implementation of the Brevard County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan and Brevard County Continuity of Operations and Continuity of Government Plan; maintenance, planning, review, and implementation of Standard Operating Guidelines for Operations Division plans, policies, guidelines, and procedures, and Standard Operating Guidelines for Mass Alert and Notification; developing Homeland Security Exercise & Evaluation Plan (HSEEP) compliant After-Action and Improvement Plans by collecting and analyzing feedback from stakeholders and monitoring the implemented Improvement Plan and providing status updates to stakeholders; and serving as the Program Administrator for Brevard County’s Alert and Notification Program, including assisting members of the public with registration and opt-out requests, maintaining notification and message templates for frequent events and/or incidents, and training other employees on utilization of the system. May also be required to serve as a duty officer, launch coordinator, and community outreach representative on a rotating basis.
Emergency Management Coordinator III – Radiological & Logistics Coordinator
Performs skilled professional work serving as the Radiological and Logistics Coordinator for the Operations Division of the Emergency Management Department. Work includes maintaining, planning, reviewing, and implementing the Brevard County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Radiological Annex and the Brevard County Comprehensive Emergency Management Plan Logistics Annex. This position is responsible to represent Brevard County on the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant Task Force; Statewide Radiological Working Group; coordinating the calibration of radiological equipment with emergency services agencies; implementing the nuclear power plant exercises and training; creating the Annual Certification Letters; maintaining an accurate inventory of warehouse commodities; and establishing and maintaining a maintenance schedule for all Operations Division equipment and vehicles. May also be required to serve as a duty officer, launch coordinator, and community outreach representative on a rotating basis.
