At APWA, we are committed to being your best resource for public works and infrastructure now and into the future. We are constantly evaluating how we can improve your member experience by making our programs and services even more engaging and relevant to your daily lives.   Over the last two years, we have been working on taking a big step forward in our mission to provide you with an immersive, technology-driven member experience by making a significant investment in our association management system and our online presence, APWA.org. Please note that we are moving from a .net to a .org address—which we believe better illustrates our role as a non-profit organization that provides excellence in education and credentialing to public works professionals around the world.   We are nearly ready to reveal the results of our hard work. Before our launch of our new website and member experience, we want you to know that some website functionality and member services support will be on pause from July 1-11. During this time, you will not be able to login, update your member roster, pay your invoice, access the eLearning portal, or take your certification exam. However, much of the information you are used to finding will remain available during these dates. We have also made our July and August Click, Listen & Learn programs free to all.  Plus, always remember that APWA team members are here for you. We are standing by ready and able to answer your questions or address your concerns by phone and email throughout this time.   We are excited to share everything we have built with you in a few weeks. We know you are going to love how our reimagined website will make your APWA member experience even more engaging and relevant.

APWA – National Public Works Week | May 21 – 27

The American Public Works Association sponsors National Public Works Week.  This year, May 21 through May 27, is the time to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works to their daily lives: planning, building, managing and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life.

APWA encourages public works agencies and professionals to take the opportunity to make their stories known in their communities.  The National Public Works Week How-to-Guide and Downloads area are available to assist in the development and implementation of their own individual celebrations.  The occasion is marked each year with scores of resolutions and proclamations from mayors and governors.  Please show your agency’s pride in providing a copy of the proclamation at the Florida Chapter Annual Meeting and Expo for posting at the booth.  You may bring your copy to the Expo or email to Carsey Patrick at cmps99@hotmail.com or your district representative of the local branch.

The Florida Chapter Annual Meeting and Expo is April 18-20, 2023.  Early Bird registration still available so hurry and sign up to attend.  http://florida.apwa.net/  https://npww.apwa.net/
