This course provides an annual overview of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program, fulfilling key training requirements set by the EPA and FDEP. It is designed to support compliance with the Clean Water Act of 1972, focusing on MS4 and construction-related responsibilities.
Participants will learn:
Reporting requirements and enforcement mechanisms
Regulatory context of the Clean Water Act and NPDES
Structural controls and BMPs
Illicit discharge detection and elimination
Erosion and sediment control basics
Construction General Permit (CGP) and SWPPP requirements
Annual construction site inspection protocols
Customization: Course content and assessments are tailored to the client’s NPDES permit and reporting needs.
Certification: No formal certifying agency; documentation provided to support agency reporting
Recommended Frequency: Annually
