  1. Understanding Strategic Planning:
    • Introduction to strategic thinking and its relevance in infrastructure sectors.
    • Identifying long-term goals, mission, and vision.
    • Stakeholder analysis and engagement.
  2. Environmental Scanning and SWOT Analysis:
    • Analyzing external factors (political, economic, social, technological, environmental, legal) affecting infrastructure projects.
    • Conducting internal assessments (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats).
  3. Setting Objectives and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
    • Defining clear, measurable objectives aligned with organizational goals.
    • Establishing KPIs to track progress.
  4. Scenario Planning and Risk Management:
    • Creating alternative scenarios to anticipate potential futures.
    • Mitigating risks through proactive planning.
  5. Resource Allocation and Budgeting:
    • Allocating financial, human, and technological resources efficiently.
    • Developing realistic budgets.
  6. Implementation and Monitoring:
    • Translating strategies into actionable steps.
    • Monitoring progress, adjusting strategies as needed.
  7. Ethical Considerations in Strategic Decision-Making:

The class is conducted in-person at your specified location, provided there is a minimum of five participants registered. A travel fee may apply, depending on zip code.
