Who this is for
For employees who may reasonably anticipate occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials. The employer identifies covered roles and provides its site-specific exposure-control plan, procedures, and required equipment.
Identify exposure routes, higher-risk tasks, warning labels, and when to stop and report.
Apply universal precautions, safe work practices, PPE, and sharps controls appropriate to the role.
Follow the employer’s immediate response and reporting process after an exposure incident.
Assessment & completion
The class uses the three core J. J. Keller module quizzes: 30 questions total. TBT requires at least 21 correct answers (70%). Missed concepts are reviewed and any retake is documented.
Eligible learners receive a Tampa Bay Training full-course certificate. J. J. Keller module certificates may be used for modules completed. Cindy coordinates the TBT certificate within 14 days after complete passing records are received.
Choose the right version
This four-hour J. J. Keller course is separate from TBT’s two-hour HSI Bloodborne Pathogens class, which uses HSI materials and an HSI credential. Cindy can help your organization choose the right scope and credential.
