Private clients should be prepared to explain their own exposure-control plan, site-specific controls, reporting contacts and post-exposure procedures so that employees receive the workplace information that applies to them.
Bloodborne Pathogens is a two-hour instructor-led course. It may be conducted onsite or as a scheduled live online class.
Participants have an opportunity to ask questions during the session and complete a multiple-choice examination. Successful participants receive a one-year HSI certification.
Live online delivery is real-time instruction, not a self-paced recording. Participants must attend and participate for the full session.
Training is only one part of an employer's responsibilities under OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens standard when that standard applies.
The employer remains responsible for determining coverage and addressing applicable requirements, which may include:
Tampa Bay Training does not represent that completion of a generic course, by itself, makes an employer OSHA compliant. Clients should obtain qualified safety or legal review when they need a formal compliance determination.
OSHA requires training at initial assignment and at least annually thereafter for employees covered by the standard, with annual training provided within one year of the previous training. Additional training may be required when changes in tasks or procedures affect occupational exposure.
The HSI Bloodborne Pathogens certification issued through this course is valid for one year. Employers remain responsible for tracking retraining dates and any additional training required by changes in work.
Private classes may be scheduled onsite or live online.
Private billing minimum: Seven participants
Maximum class size: 20 participants
If fewer than seven people attend, the organization is still billed for seven. Cindy confirms the delivery format, schedule, participant count, client-specific information and complete price before the class is booked.
Individuals and smaller groups may register when a client or host makes seats available in a scheduled class. Review Eventbrite for currently available onsite or live online opportunities.
Participants who meet the course's attendance, participation and examination requirements receive a one-year HSI Bloodborne Pathogens certification.
Digital certification is issued by default. A paper certification card must be requested at registration because it must be ordered in advance.
For employees covered by OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens standard, training is required at initial assignment and at least annually thereafter, within one year of the previous training. Employers must also provide additional training when relevant changes in tasks or procedures affect exposure.
