IS-100.c introduces the principles and basic structure of ICS. Participants examine NIMS management characteristics, ICS functional areas, the Incident Commander, Command Staff and General Staff.
IS-200.c builds on ICS 100 for personnel who may assume supervisory responsibilities during initial response. Participants examine authority, management by objectives, organizational components, briefings, flexible organization and transfer of command.
The package addresses IS-100.c before IS-200.c because IS-100.c is the prerequisite for IS-200.c.
FEMA provides the Independent Study materials and examinations. TBT adds:

Participants examine:
Each participant signs into the FEMA system and submits the IS-100.c and IS-200.c examinations personally. FEMA scores the exams and issues a separate FEMA Independent Study certificate for each successfully completed course.
Tampa Bay Training does not administer or score the FEMA examinations and does not issue the FEMA certificates. Passing is not guaranteed.
Participants also receive a TBT certificate documenting completion of the eight-hour instructor-led package. The TBT certificate does not expire.
Before class, participants should:
Participants control their own credentials and examination submissions. TBT does not collect or retain passwords, security answers, recovery codes or multifactor-authentication codes.
The client should provide a computer lab or allow participants to bring suitable computers when possible. TBT can provide up to five backup computers. Groups relying on TBT computers may need testing rotations that extend the schedule.
The host provides:
TBT coordinates any backup computers and display equipment before the class.
Private classes have a seven-participant billing minimum and a maximum of 20 participants. Public onsite classes may be scheduled for individuals and smaller groups.

This is a TBT instructor-led review, preparation and facilitation package based on FEMA Independent Study material. FEMA controls the IS-100.c and IS-200.c examinations and issues the FEMA certificates.
Yes. FEMA offers the Independent Study materials online at no charge. TBT's fee covers instructor support, Florida and local application, facilitated review, account assistance, onsite examination support and the separate TBT certificate.
TBT can guide you, but you must create and control your own accounts, passwords and multifactor-authentication methods.
Participants who successfully complete both FEMA examinations receive an IS-100.c certificate and an IS-200.c certificate from FEMA. TBT also provides its own certificate for the complete instructor-led package.
