Fall Protection Awareness

Help employees and supervisors recognize fall hazards, understand prevention, restraint and arrest concepts, and know when to seek employer-specific direction.

THE RIGHT SCOPE

Recognize hazards before they become incidents

Designed for construction and general-industry workplaces, including Florida public works, utilities, facilities and infrastructure teams. Use it for orientation, refresher training or supervisory awareness.

Topics include common fall hazards; prevention, travel restraint and fall arrest concepts; inspection awareness; clearance, swing fall and dropped objects; and the importance of rescue planning and site procedures.

WHAT PARTICIPANTS PRACTICE

Five useful outcomes

  1. Identify common fall hazards in workplace scenarios.
  2. Explain the difference among prevention, restraint and arrest.
  3. Describe why inspection, clearance and rescue planning matter.
  4. Recognize when employer-specific competent- or qualified-person direction is needed.
  5. Report a hazard and obtain guidance before work proceeds.
