Cavalli's diverse educational background includes an MPA, a BA in Political Science, and a BS in Environmental Science and Policy, complemented by graduate work in Instructional Technology and Non-profit Management. His extensive professional experience spans roles such as Town Manager, Director, and Coordinator in various municipal and educational settings.

Actively engaged in professional associations, Cavalli holds key positions in organizations like the American Public Works Association and the Florida City/County Management Association. Peter ‘Pete” Cavalli, MPA is the Founder and Principal of Tampa Bay Training: a limited liability company organized in the Great State of Florida serving our clients who are generally employed in the areas of local government, public works/utilities and engineering/construction industry.

Our Mission is to provide effective, efficient and affordable training to our clients throughout Florida through onsite and online training.

With over 20 years of experience working with local government agencies, Mr. Cavalli, focuses on training aimed at the needs of local government employees, public works/utility department, and those in the engineering/construction communities. We also maintain contact with Florida professionals in those areas to provide training that makes use of the latest technical/academic information as well as providing real world experience. This combination has provided our clients with the best professional development available.

Tampa Bay Training offers certifications provided by such agencies as the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, University of Florida / IFAS, OSHA, American Heart Association, ASHI, Coaching Systems, JJ Keller and others.

Many of our classes range from 4 hours to 3 days.  We provide training classes from the list provided above, as well as, providing course development, consulting, and online course production.

Mr. Cavalli’s education background is diverse including a Masters in Public Administration (MPA), Bachelors in Arts – Political Science (BS), and a Bachelors in Science in Environmental Science and Policy (BS).  In addition to these degrees he also has additional graduate work in Instructional Technology – Multimedia Applications, Instructional Technology – Web Design and Non-profit Management.

Professional experience includes being the past Town Manager for the Town of Kenneth City (FL), Community Services/IT Director for the City of Belleair Beach (FL), Special Projects Coordinator for the City of St. Pete Beach (FL), and 10+ years as an Instructor/Coordinator/Department Director for Pinellas Technical College/Public Works Academy.

Work with relevant professional associations is extremely important to Mr. Cavalli.  He is currently the General Membership Representative on the American Public Works Association’s Certification Commission at the national level, Education & Training Committee Chair at the state chapter level and the chair of workforce development at the branch level (West Coast Branch).  He also serves as a member of the Florida City/County Management Association’s Professional Development Committee and also serves as the Customer Relations Trustee & Education Committee for the Florida Water and Pollution Control Operator’s Association – District IV.
