Professional Development & Certification Classes
Flexible Training for Individuals and Small Groups
Tampa Bay Training’s open-enrollment classes make professional development and certification training accessible to individuals, small groups, and organizations that do not need a private class.
Most open-enrollment courses are delivered live online through Microsoft Teams. Select in-person classes are also available at locations throughout Florida when Tampa Bay Training schedules a public class or a host organization makes additional seats available.
There is no minimum registration requirement for open-enrollment classes, and individual participants do not pay Tampa Bay Training instructor travel charges.

Why Choose Open-Enrollment Training?
No Group Minimum
Register one employee, several team members, or yourself. You do not need seven participants to attend an open-enrollment class.
Live, Instructor-Led Learning
Most online classes are taught live—not prerecorded. Participants can ask questions, interact with the instructor, and discuss how the material applies to their work.
Convenient Online Access
Attend eligible classes through Microsoft Teams without traveling to a training location. Online delivery can reduce mileage, lodging expenses, and time away from work.
Select In-Person Opportunities
Some organizations allow Tampa Bay Training to make unused seats in their onsite classes available to outside participants. These opportunities provide individuals and small groups with access to in-person training in different areas of Florida.
Straightforward Registration
Review the available dates, course details, pricing, and delivery format before registering securely through Tampa Bay Training’s Eventbrite page.
Experienced Instructors
Our instructors bring practical experience from public works, utilities, construction, emergency services, safety, and local government operations. Course material is presented clearly and connected to real workplace situations.
Online Open-Enrollment Classes
Live online training is an excellent option for participants who want interactive instruction without traveling.
Depending on the program, online open-enrollment classes may include:
Live instruction through Microsoft Teams
Digital course materials
Participant interaction and instructor questions
Required examinations or assessments
Certificates or credentials following successful completion
Continuing education documentation when applicable
Participants are responsible for reviewing the technology, attendance, identification, testing, and course-completion requirements listed on the registration page.
In-Person Open-Enrollment Classes
Select in-person classes are offered throughout Florida based on instructor scheduling, available facilities, host approval, and participant demand.
Some classes—particularly those involving equipment operation, hands-on practice, or performance evaluations—must be completed in person.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a minimum registration requirement?
No. Individuals and small groups can register for an open-enrollment class without meeting the seven-participant minimum required for most private classes.
Are all open-enrollment classes online?
No. Most are delivered live online, but select in-person classes are available throughout Florida. Always confirm the delivery format and location before registering.
Are online classes self-paced?
No. Unless a listing specifically identifies a course as self-paced, online open-enrollment classes are generally delivered live at scheduled dates and times.
Do participants pay a travel charge?
No Tampa Bay Training instructor travel charge is added to an individual open-enrollment registration. Participants attending an in-person class are responsible for their own transportation and related expenses.
Can my organization register several employees?
Yes. Organizations can register multiple employees for an available class. If seven or more employees need the same program, private onsite or live online training may provide greater scheduling flexibility and value.
What if the class I need is not listed?
