FCCMA – Florida City / County Management Association – The Florida City and County Management Association is a professional organization of practicing public administrators from throughout Florida local governments. The Association was chartered in 1946 as a non-profit corporation to elevate professionalism among the state’s 479 cities and counties, and to promote the council-manager form of government as the form that advances the highest ethical and professional standards.
APWA – American Public Works Association – The American Public Works Association (APWA) serves professionals in all aspects of public works—a fact that sets it apart from other organizations and makes it an effective voice of public works throughout North America. With a worldwide membership more than 30,000 strong, APWA includes not only personnel from local, county, state/province, and federal agencies, but also private sector personnel who supply products and services to those professionals. Membership in APWA is open to any individual, agency, or corporation with an interest in public works and infrastructure issues.
AWWA – American Water Works Association – The American Water Works Association is an international, nonprofit, scientific and educational society dedicated to providing total water solutions assuring the effective management of water. Founded in 1881, the Association is the largest organization of water supply professionals in the world.
FWPCOA – Florida Water and Pollution Control Operators Association – The FWPCOA is an organization of members who are engaged in the production, treatment and distribution of drinking water; the collection, treatment and disposal of wastewater; and/or the collection and treatment of stormwater. To help organize and provide better service, the state of Florida is divided into 13 regions. The purpose of the FWPCOA is to protect the health of the citizens & preserve the natural resources. We accomplish this by advancing the professional status of water and wastewater operators, providing a licensing system, and arranging training programs. The association works in cooperation with the Florida Section of the American Water Works Association (FS/AWWA), the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA), the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP), the Florida Department of Health and the Florida Educational System.
FEPA – Florida Emergency Preparedness Association – The Florida Emergency Preparedness Association (FEPA) was created in 1956 to help professional Emergency Managers work to protect the people of Florida. FEPA is a private non-profit corporation registered with the Florida Department of State designated as a 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service. FEPA is Florida’s Premier Association of Emergency Managers.
