With over a decade of experience, we offer the Intermediate,-Refresher, Advanced, Advanced-Refresher, and Flagger-level training—available both online (for individuals looking for certification) and onsite for organizations with 10 or more participants.

Online Classes

The Department provides for three categories of training. Determine the required category of training as follow:  

Statements provided below are from the FDOT Temporary Traffic Control, Maintenance of Traffic Handbook.

  1. Advanced (20-hour class) and Advanced Refresher (8-hour) Training: Required for personnel with the authority and responsibility for making decisions on the specific TTC requirements to be implemented. These positions include the following:
    • The Professional Engineer responsible for the development of the Transportation Management Plan (TMP) and design of the TTC Plan.
    • The Worksite Traffic Supervisor in accordance with FDOT Standard Specifications, Section 102
    • Personnel responsible for supervising the installation, removal and field maintenance of TTC devices, including temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.
    • Personnel responsible for inspection of the placement or operational function of temporary traffic control devices, including temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.
  2. Intermediate (16-hour class) and Intermediate Refresher (8-hour class) Training: Required for personnel with duties that include any of the following activities:
    • Personnel responsible for supervising the installation, removal and field maintenance of TTC devices, excluding temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.
    • Inspection of the placement or operational function of temporary traffic control devices, excluding temporary barriers, end treatments and crash cushions.
  3. Flagger Training (4-hour training class): Required for all personnel flagging traffic.
