Field experience behind the instruction

Municipal, Utility and Maintenance Background

Bob’s professional experience helps him explain not only how equipment is operated, but why inspections, communication, maintenance, site conditions, and employer procedures matter.

Utility Operations

Experience working around municipal utility systems, operational equipment, maintenance activities, facilities, and the employees responsible for essential services.

Power-Plant Maintenance

Hands-on exposure to industrial maintenance environments where equipment condition, coordination, procedure, and safe work practices are critical.

Municipal Service

Decades of experience connected to municipal operations and the practical demands placed on public employees, supervisors, equipment, and facilities.

Maintenance Mechanics

Knowledge of utility-maintenance and millwright-machinist work that supports practical discussion of equipment condition, reliability, and safe operation.

Material Handling

Experience relevant to forklifts, cranes, rigging, load handling, work-area control, communication, and equipment-specific operating procedures.

Workforce Instruction

Training experience with Tampa Bay Training and the Florida Water & Pollution Control Operators Association supporting utility and public-service professionals.

Employer responsibility remains essential: A course or completion document does not replace an employer’s responsibility to provide suitable equipment, site-specific instruction, hazard controls, supervision, authorization, maintenance, and any evaluation required for the employee’s assigned work.

Bob’s Teaching Approach

Bob believes effective equipment training begins with experience and becomes meaningful when participants can connect instruction to the equipment, tasks, hazards, and decisions found in their workplace.

Explain the “Why”

Connect operating procedures, inspections, communication, and safety expectations to their practical purpose and workplace consequences.

Demonstrate Skills

Use explanation, demonstration, supervised practice, and feedback when the course includes hands-on operating or evaluation requirements.

Encourage Questions

Create an approachable learning environment where participants can ask questions, discuss experience, and clarify safe operating practices.

Focus on Application

Help participants leave with knowledge and habits they can apply while working under their employer’s procedures, supervision, and authorization.

“My goal is to be a resource for my students—not just during class, but throughout their professional journey.”

Common questions

Training With Bob Case

Can our organization request Bob as the instructor?

Yes. Tell Customer Service that you are interested in working with Bob. Instructor assignment depends on the course, location, equipment, schedule, availability, and final engagement requirements.

Does Tampa Bay Training provide the equipment?

Responsibilities vary by course. For many employer-hosted operator programs, the client provides the workplace equipment, a suitable operating area, required documentation, personal protective equipment, and an onsite representative. The written confirmation will identify final responsibilities.

Does completing a course authorize an employee to operate equipment?

Not by itself. The employer remains responsible for determining employee assignments and authorization and for satisfying applicable equipment-specific, workplace, supervision, evaluation, documentation, and regulatory responsibilities.

Can Bob train employees on our organization’s equipment?

Potentially, depending on the course, equipment, condition, documentation, site, hazards, and instructor qualifications. Provide the manufacturer, model, equipment information, intended tasks, and worksite details for review before scheduling.

How do we request a quote?

Contact Customer Service with your organization, course or equipment type, participant count, location, preferred dates, and intended outcome. For hands-on training, include the equipment and worksite information available to you.
