Every program may be requested for an organization. Selected courses may also be scheduled periodically at the Downtown Tampa Classroom or another approved public host location.

Important federal-training distinction
Tampa Bay Training supports learning; FEMA’s NDEMU controls the official course record.
FEMA’s Emergency Management Institute continues within NDEMU. The current Independent Study catalog lists IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-700.b, and IS-800.d, and successful students now receive NDEMU certificates of completion.
FEMA NDEMU Provides
Official Independent Study course materials, online examinations, student records, and NDEMU certificates after successful completion.
Tampa Bay Training Provides
Paid instructor explanation, review, preparation, Florida and local-government context, and practical help navigating the participant process.
The Participant Completes
Each participant uses their own FEMA SID and independently completes the official examination. TBT does not collect passwords, submit exams for participants, issue the federal certificate, or imply FEMA endorsement.
Current access note: FEMA says students need a FEMA SID and should make sure the personal information and email in their SID profile match their Login.gov account as NDEMU prepares to use Login.gov for most SID sign-ins. Review NDEMU account guidance or check the current Independent Study catalog.

Does Tampa Bay Training issue the federal completion certificate?
No. After a participant successfully completes an official Independent Study examination, FEMA’s NDEMU controls the federal record and issues the NDEMU certificate of completion. TBT may provide a separate record for its instructor-led support program.
Are these programs available live online?
Current emergency-management programs are delivered onsite, including private locations and the Downtown Tampa Classroom. Ask Cindy about the best delivery plan for your organization or a future scheduled public class.
Does Tampa Bay Training currently offer ICS-300 or ICS-400?
No. TBT currently supports IS-100.c, IS-200.c, IS-700.b, and IS-800.d, along with the other preparedness programs shown on this page. FEMA and the appropriate state, tribal, territorial, or local training authority control official ICS course requirements and records.
Can the material be customized?
Yes, when scope, learning outcomes, organizational policies, and deliverables are agreed in advance. FEMA NDEMU course content, examinations, student records, and certificate requirements remain separate.
