Tampa Bay Training provides private, open-enrollment, onsite, live-online and self-paced workforce training. These policies explain what clients and learners can expect and what Tampa Bay Training requires for registration, participation, testing, credentials and use of our website.
The specific event listing, course page, accepted quote, contract, purchase order or credentialing-provider requirement may contain additional or different terms. When a specific document conflicts with this page, the more specific document controls for that matter. Regulatory, credentialing and licensing-body requirements also control when applicable.

Private training is a class reserved for one organization and scheduled by written quote, contract or purchase order. Depending on the course, private training may be delivered onsite or live online.
Tampa Bay Training generally recommends private training when an organization has seven or more participants. Unless the accepted quote states otherwise, private-class pricing is based on a seven-participant billing minimum. The minimum is a pricing term, not a promise that every course can be conducted with seven participants or that a class must be canceled when fewer people attend.
A class is not considered confirmed until Tampa Bay Training accepts the applicable quote, contract, purchase order or other written authorization. Requested dates remain subject to instructor availability, course-provider requirements, facility suitability, travel logistics and receipt of required information.
The accepted engagement document should identify:
- Course title, format, dates and location
- Included instructional hours and materials
- Anticipated participant count and any billing minimum
- Training, material, credential, equipment and travel charges
- Client and Tampa Bay Training responsibilities
- Cancellation, rescheduling and payment terms
- Course-specific prerequisites or delivery limits
The client must provide accurate participant information by the deadline stated in the quote or course instructions. Participants are responsible for meeting all prerequisites and using their legal name when a credentialing body requires it.
Participant substitutions are generally permitted before the applicable roster deadline when the replacement participant meets all prerequisites and the course provider allows the change. Substitutions are not guaranteed after materials, digital licenses, examinations or credentials have been assigned.
Printed or digital materials may require advance ordering, customization or shipping. The client must provide accurate delivery information and promptly report missing or damaged materials. Materials, licenses and shipping already ordered or delivered may be nonrefundable.
Onsite training may include a travel charge or reimbursement of approved travel expenses. Travel arrangements and charges will be disclosed in the written quote before the client approves the class. Sections 10 and 11 provide additional onsite and travel details.
Live-online classes are conducted in real time with an instructor. They are not self-paced recordings. Participants must be available for the complete scheduled class and satisfy the same attendance, participation, identity and testing requirements that apply to the course.
Unless the course listing expressly says otherwise, each participant must have:
- An individual desktop or laptop computer
- A reliable broadband internet connection
- A functioning camera, microphone and speakers or headset
- Access to the specified meeting platform, normally Microsoft Teams
- A current web browser and the ability to open course documents
- A power source sufficient for the full class
- A working email address that the participant checks regularly
Smartphones and tablets do not satisfy the technology requirement for credential or qualification courses unless Tampa Bay Training approves their use in writing. Sharing one computer among multiple participants is not permitted when individual attendance, participation or testing must be verified.
Participants must join from a quiet, stationary location appropriate for professional training. Cameras and microphones must be functioning and used when required for attendance, participation, identity verification, proctoring or course-provider compliance. Participants may not attend while driving, operating equipment, working in the field or performing other duties that interfere with full participation.
Participants should test their device, audio, video, internet connection and meeting-platform access before the class. Participants should join early enough to resolve routine access problems before the scheduled start time and should have all required printed or digital materials ready.
Tampa Bay Training will provide reasonable assistance with access to the class. The participant remains responsible for suitable equipment, internet service and a learning environment that permits full participation. Technology problems do not automatically waive attendance, contact-hour, testing or credentialing requirements.
If a participant cannot complete required instructional time because of a technology failure, Tampa Bay Training will determine the available options based on the course rules, provider requirements, class schedule and circumstances. A transfer, make-up session, retest or additional fee may be required.
Participants may not record, photograph, screen-capture, rebroadcast or distribute a live-online class, examination or course material without prior written authorization from Tampa Bay Training and any applicable content owner or credentialing provider.
Self-paced courses allow a named learner to complete assigned online content within the access period stated on the course page, enrollment confirmation or third-party platform. Self-paced courses are separate from live-online instructor-led classes.
Course access is issued to one named learner and may not be shared, resold, transferred or used to train additional people. The learner is responsible for protecting login credentials and for all activity completed through the learner's account.
The applicable course page or provider terms control:
- The date access begins and expires
- Required modules and minimum seat time
- Knowledge checks, examinations and passing scores
- Number of permitted attempts
- Technical requirements
- Availability of captions, transcripts or other accessibility features
- Credential, card or certificate requirements
Learners should begin early enough to complete the course before access expires. An access extension is not guaranteed and may require provider approval or an additional fee.
The enrolled learner must personally complete the course and all required assessments. Impersonation, shared access, automated completion, unauthorized assistance, copying examination content or other attempts to misrepresent participation may result in removal from the course, invalidation of completion and referral to the course provider.
Some self-paced courses are delivered through independent course providers. Their platform, accessibility, technical-support, access, assessment and credential rules also apply. Tampa Bay Training will help route legitimate support requests but cannot waive a third-party provider's requirements.
When a self-paced course is an OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour Outreach course, successful learners receive the applicable student course-completion card through the authorized online provider. OSHA states that Outreach training is voluntary, is not a certification or license and does not replace an employer's obligation to provide training required by specific OSHA standards. See the [OSHA Outreach Training Program](https://www.osha.gov/training/outreach/) for current information.
A self-paced purchase is eligible for a refund before the access link or license is issued. After access has been issued, the purchase is normally nonrefundable because the digital product has been delivered. Section 6 provides additional terms.
The purchaser and participant must provide accurate contact, employer and participant information. When a course results in an agency, provider or licensing-body record, the participant must register using the name and other information required by that organization.
Registering for a course does not establish that the participant meets its prerequisites. Participants and employers are responsible for reviewing the course description and confirming eligibility before registering. Tampa Bay Training can assist with course selection but does not control a credentialing body's final eligibility decision.
Participants may be required to show government-issued photo identification, a current qualification, prerequisite documentation or other evidence required by the course provider. A participant who cannot establish identity or eligibility may be denied testing or completion credit.
Full attendance is required when instructional hours, provider rules or credentialing requirements apply. Participants must arrive or log in on time, return promptly from breaks and remain through the end of the class. Late arrival, early departure, extended absence or incomplete instructional time may prevent successful completion.
Tampa Bay Training will not shorten required instructional time, mark an absent participant present or issue a qualification or certificate when applicable requirements have not been satisfied.
Participants must remain attentive and take part in discussions, exercises, demonstrations, performance evaluations and other required activities. Working, driving, sleeping, repeatedly leaving the learning environment or engaging in unrelated activities may be treated as a failure to participate.
Examinations and performance evaluations must be completed by the registered participant without unauthorized assistance. Participants must follow all instructions concerning identification, cameras, materials, calculators, reference documents, time limits, test security and the testing environment.
Unauthorized notes, communication, screen capture, copying, recording, use of artificial-intelligence tools or assistance from another person are prohibited unless the instructor or course provider expressly authorizes them.
Passing scores, retesting options, waiting periods, attempt limits and additional fees are determined by the applicable course or credentialing provider. Attendance alone does not guarantee successful completion, qualification or a passing score.
A training certificate documents the completion described on the certificate. It does not automatically establish job competency, employer authorization, regulatory compliance or permission to operate equipment. Employers remain responsible for workplace-specific instruction, supervision, practical evaluation and authorization when required.
Depending on the course, successful participants may receive:
- A Tampa Bay Training certificate of completion
- An agency or credentialing-provider qualification or certificate
- An OSHA student course-completion card
- A separate PDH or continuing-education certificate, when applicable
- A roster, transcript or employer training record
These documents are not interchangeable. A Tampa Bay Training completion certificate is not a substitute for an official agency or credentialing-provider record.
Certificates and records are issued only after required attendance, participation, assessment, payment and provider requirements have been satisfied. Processing times vary by course and credentialing provider. Third-party cards and certificates may be delivered on a different schedule from Tampa Bay Training records.
Participants should review credentials promptly and report spelling or factual errors. Corrections requested after a provider deadline or after a physical credential has been produced may involve a replacement fee.
Tampa Bay Training generally retains core enrollment, attendance and completion records for at least four years and longer when required by a provider, contract, law or legitimate business need. Some official records are maintained by the credentialing organization rather than Tampa Bay Training.
Participants and employers should retain their own certificates and qualification records. Tampa Bay Training will make a reasonable effort to assist with verification or replacement requests but cannot guarantee permanent availability of records controlled by another organization.
PDH, CEU and other continuing-education documentation is separate from the primary course credential and may need to be requested. The participant is responsible for determining whether a course is acceptable to the participant's licensing board, employer or professional organization and for reporting the credit correctly.
The specific event listing, registration checkout, accepted quote, contract or purchase order controls when it states particular refund or cancellation terms.
Unless the event listing states otherwise, a refund request for an open-enrollment class must be submitted at least seven calendar days before the scheduled start date. Requests received after the stated refund deadline, participant no-shows and failures to complete the class are not eligible for a refund.
Before the refund deadline, a participant may request transfer to another available date. Transfers are subject to seat availability, course eligibility, current pricing, material availability and provider rules. Tampa Bay Training must confirm a transfer in writing.
Platform or payment-processing fees are refundable only to the extent allowed by the applicable registration or payment provider.
When the accepted engagement document is silent:
- A private class canceled at least 15 calendar days before the scheduled start is eligible for cancellation without an instructional cancellation fee.
- Any refund will exclude actual nonrecoverable travel, lodging, materials, vendor, credential, shipping or other client-specific costs already committed.
- A cancellation or rescheduling request received fewer than three business days before the class, a client no-show or failure to provide agreed facility access, equipment or technology is not eligible for a refund or class credit unless Tampa Bay Training approves an exception.
A private client providing at least three business days' notice may request one class-date exchange. The replacement class should normally occur within six months of the original date and remains subject to instructor availability, travel logistics, current pricing and course rules. Nonrecoverable costs caused by the change remain the client's responsibility.
A self-paced purchase is refundable before the course-access link or digital license is issued. After access has been issued, the purchase is nonrefundable unless Tampa Bay Training or the provider cannot supply working access and cannot correct the problem or provide an appropriate replacement.
The following amounts may become nonrefundable once ordered, accessed, shipped or incurred:
- Printed or customized materials
- Shipping and handling
- Digital licenses
- Credential cards and replacement credentials
- Examination, provider or licensing fees
- Approved travel, lodging, facility or equipment expenses
- Nonrecoverable registration or payment-platform fees
Any deduction will be explained as part of the refund decision.
Tampa Bay Training intends to conduct an advertised open-enrollment class even when enrollment is small. It may nevertheless cancel, postpone, relocate or change an instructor or delivery format when necessary because of instructor illness, severe weather, unsafe conditions, facility or technology failure, credentialing-body direction, government action or another circumstance outside its reasonable control.
If Tampa Bay Training cancels a class, the customer may choose a refund of amounts paid for the affected class or transfer to a mutually acceptable replacement date. Unless an accepted agreement states otherwise, Tampa Bay Training is not responsible for indirect expenses such as wages, travel, lodging, missed work or consequential loss.
Send requests to service@tampabaytraining.com and include the customer or organization name, participant name, course, scheduled date, order or invoice number and requested resolution. Approved refunds are normally processed within seven business days, although a bank, card issuer or payment platform may require additional posting time.
Tampa Bay Training is committed to providing learners with disabilities meaningful access to training, registration, materials, communication and assessments.
Contact the Customer Service Manager at service@tampabaytraining.com or 813-360-1526 as early as possible, preferably at least seven business days before the class. Late requests will be considered, but advance notice provides more time to arrange interpreters, accessible materials, testing modifications or alternative technology.
Learners do not need to disclose an entire medical history or diagnosis. Please describe the access barrier, requested accommodation and any relevant timing or format needs. Tampa Bay Training may request limited additional information when necessary to understand and arrange an effective accommodation.
Depending on the course and learner's needs, reasonable accommodations may include:
- Accessible electronic materials
- Captioning or communication assistance
- Assistive-listening support
- Additional testing time or an alternative accessible testing method
- Accessible seating or room arrangement
- Break or scheduling adjustments
- Coordination with a third-party course or testing provider
Tampa Bay Training does not charge a learner for an approved disability-related accommodation.
An accommodation does not require Tampa Bay Training or a credentialing provider to waive essential course objectives, required instructional hours, safety requirements, valid prerequisites, required performance skills or examination security. When a requested modification would fundamentally alter a requirement, Tampa Bay Training will discuss other effective options when available.
For client-hosted onsite training, the client is responsible for providing an accessible facility, route, restroom and emergency procedure. Tampa Bay Training will coordinate with the client concerning known learner needs.
Event registration, meeting, learning and credentialing platforms operated by third parties have their own accessibility features and limitations. Tampa Bay Training will make reasonable efforts to coordinate support and offer an effective alternative when feasible.
Tampa Bay Training uses WCAG 2.2 Level AA as a working accessibility benchmark and continues to improve its website and digital materials. No automated scan or accessibility overlay can establish complete compliance. If you encounter a barrier, contact us and identify the page, content and assistance needed. For general federal guidance, see the [U.S. Department of Justice web-accessibility guidance](https://www.ada.gov/resources/web-guidance/).
Participants must interact respectfully with instructors, staff, hosts and other learners. Harassment, discrimination, threats, intimidation, unsafe behavior, deliberate disruption, unauthorized solicitation or conduct that interferes with another person's learning is prohibited.
Tampa Bay Training may warn, remove or dismiss a participant whose conduct is unsafe, disruptive, dishonest or inconsistent with course-provider requirements. Removal for participant misconduct does not create an automatic right to a refund or credential.
Participants must complete their own work. Prohibited conduct includes impersonation, receiving or providing unauthorized assistance, using unauthorized materials or artificial-intelligence tools, copying or sharing examination content, falsifying attendance, altering a certificate or qualification and misrepresenting course completion.
Suspected misconduct may result in suspension of testing or credential processing while the matter is reviewed. Tampa Bay Training may notify the applicable employer, purchaser, testing provider or credentialing body when necessary to protect safety, test integrity or official records.
Participants and clients should first send a written complaint to service@tampabaytraining.com. Include:
- Name and contact information
- Course, date and instructor
- Description of the concern
- Relevant documents or communications
- Requested resolution
Tampa Bay Training will normally acknowledge a complaint within two business days and aims to provide a written response within ten business days. Complex matters, third-party reviews or credentialing-body involvement may require additional time.
A person who disagrees with a Tampa Bay Training decision may submit a written appeal to executive@tampabaytraining.com within ten business days of the decision. The appeal should explain the disputed decision, the basis for review and the requested outcome.
When practical, someone other than the person who made the original decision will review the appeal. Tampa Bay Training's appeal process does not replace a separate appeal, complaint or eligibility process controlled by FDOT, FDEP, OSHA, HSI, a licensing board, an employer or another credentialing organization.
Tampa Bay Training prohibits retaliation against a person for making a good-faith accommodation request, complaint or appeal.
This Privacy Policy explains how Tampa Bay Training collects, uses, shares and protects personal information obtained through its website, registration systems, communications and training services.

Tampa Bay Training may share information with service providers that support registration, payment processing, website hosting, email, Microsoft Teams, learning-management systems, self-paced course delivery, shipping, testing, credentialing, analytics, accounting or customer service.
Information may also be provided to an employer or purchasing organization that registered or paid for the participant, and to FDOT, FDEP, OSHA-related providers, HSI or another credentialing organization when necessary to administer the course or issue and verify a record.
Tampa Bay Training does not sell personal information for monetary consideration. We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or safety, to investigate fraud or misconduct, or as part of a lawful business reorganization.
Payments may be processed by Eventbrite or another independent payment provider. The provider's privacy and security terms apply to information submitted through its system. Tampa Bay Training generally receives order and transaction information rather than a purchaser's complete payment-card number.

Tampa Bay Training retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for training records, credentials, contracts, accounting, disputes, provider requirements and legal obligations. Retention periods vary by record type.
Tampa Bay Training uses reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information and the size of the organization. No website, transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security. The Federal Trade Commission recommends collecting only needed information, protecting it and securely disposing of it when the business need ends. See the [FTC's data-security guidance](https://www.ftc.gov/business-guidance/privacy-security/data-security).

We may need to verify identity and may retain information required for credentials, contracts, accounting, fraud prevention or legal compliance.
Requests concerning information maintained by Eventbrite, a course provider or a credentialing organization may need to be directed to that organization.
The website and training services are not directed to children under 13, and Tampa Bay Training does not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. A minor's participation in training may require employer, school or parent/guardian coordination depending on the course.
Tampa Bay Training may update this Privacy Policy as services, technology or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top of this page. Privacy questions and requests may be sent to service@tampabaytraining.com.
Tampa Bay Training provides onsite training throughout Florida and may consider out-of-state requests. The client and Tampa Bay Training share responsibility for creating a suitable, safe and accessible learning environment.
Unless the accepted quote assigns responsibility differently, the client must provide:
- A designated coordinator available before and during the class
- Timely participant rosters and prerequisite information
- A classroom with adequate seating, lighting, climate control and restrooms
- An accessible route, room and emergency procedure
- Reliable power and any agreed internet access
- A display, projector, screen, audio equipment or other agreed technology
- Safe access, parking, loading and unloading for instructors and equipment
- Course-specific equipment, PPE, traffic-control devices or practical-evaluation space identified in the quote
- A site free from uncontrolled hazards and operational interruptions
Tampa Bay Training may request photographs, specifications or a pre-class discussion to confirm the facility and equipment are suitable. An instructor may delay, modify or stop an activity when conditions are unsafe, required equipment is unavailable or a credentialing requirement cannot be satisfied.
If a client-caused delay prevents completion of required instructional hours or performance activities, the class may need to be extended or rescheduled. Additional instructional, travel, facility or material charges may apply.
The client must provide accurate location, parking, security, entry and site-contact information. Restricted facilities should arrange visitor authorization before the instructor arrives. Any unusual PPE, background screening, drug testing, vehicle, security or access requirement must be disclosed before the quote is accepted.
The client must promptly receive and safeguard any materials or equipment shipped to the site. Specialized shipping, freight, return shipping, equipment rental or damaged equipment may be charged as identified in the quote.
When onsite delivery is impractical or unnecessarily expensive, Tampa Bay Training may recommend live-online delivery, combining multiple courses in one visit, using a regional host location or adjusting the schedule to reduce travel costs.
The accepted quote controls the travel amount charged for a private class. Tampa Bay Training will disclose anticipated travel charges before the client authorizes the engagement.
When the standard zone schedule is used, the travel charge is calculated for each training day plus one additional mobilization/travel day for the trip to and from the location.
| Travel zone | Standard charge |
| Zone 1 — Local service area | $0 per day |
| Zone 2 | $100 per day |
| Zone 3 | $200–$250 per day, as stated in the quote |
| Zone 4 | $300 per day |
Example: A two-day Zone 2 class normally uses three billable travel days: two training days plus one mobilization/travel day. The standard travel charge would be $300 unless the quote states otherwise.
The applicable zone is based on the training location and Tampa Bay Training's current county or ZIP-code travel chart.
Overnight, out-of-state, multi-instructor or special-logistics engagements may be quoted using a fixed travel amount or reimbursement of reasonable actual expenses instead of, or in addition to, the standard zone schedule. The quote will identify the method and may include:
- Airfare
- Lodging
- Rental vehicle or ground transportation
- Mileage at the current IRS standard rate or another stated rate
- Parking and tolls
- Meals and incidentals
- Baggage, freight or specialized shipping
- Extended travel time
Tampa Bay Training will not add undisclosed travel charges after approval except for a client-requested change or an unforeseen cost that the client separately approves.
Nonrecoverable travel, lodging, shipping or related expenses already committed for an approved engagement remain the client's responsibility when the client cancels or changes the class. Tampa Bay Training will make reasonable efforts to obtain credits, refunds or lower-cost alternatives.

Website content is provided for general training, business and informational purposes. It is not legal, engineering, medical, safety, licensing or regulatory advice and should not be used as a substitute for an employer's site-specific procedures, professional judgment or current agency requirements.
Course descriptions, schedules, prices, instructors, availability, provider requirements and regulatory information may change. Tampa Bay Training makes reasonable efforts to keep information accurate but does not guarantee that every page is complete or current at all times.
Purchases and registrations are also governed by the applicable course page, checkout terms, event listing, quote, contract, purchase order and third-party platform terms. If those terms conflict with this general website section, the more specific transaction terms control.
Unless otherwise stated, Tampa Bay Training owns or is authorized to use the website text, graphics, branding, videos, downloads and course materials. Visitors may view and print website content for personal or internal business reference. They may not reproduce, modify, sell, publish, scrape, distribute, train an artificial-intelligence system on or create derivative products from protected content without written permission.
Agency names, logos, standards and third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners. Reference to an organization does not imply endorsement beyond the relationship expressly stated.
Users may not attempt to gain unauthorized access, interfere with website operation, introduce malicious code, harvest personal information, impersonate another person, submit false information or use the site for unlawful or abusive activity.
The website links to services operated by Eventbrite, Microsoft, course providers, credentialing bodies, government agencies and other organizations. Tampa Bay Training does not control every third-party site and is not responsible for its availability, content, accessibility, privacy practices or security. Users should review the third party's terms and policies.
Website access may be interrupted for maintenance, technical failure, security or circumstances outside Tampa Bay Training's control. To the extent permitted by law, Tampa Bay Training is not responsible for losses resulting solely from temporary website unavailability, a third-party service or reliance on general website information. Nothing in these terms limits a right or remedy that cannot lawfully be waived.
Tampa Bay Training may update the website and these terms. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. If a provision is determined to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
Questions about website use or permission to reuse content may be sent to executive@tampabaytraining.com.
FDOT Temporary Traffic Control qualification and professional continuing-education credit are separate records. An official FDOT TTC qualification does not automatically document PDH or CEU credit.
When applicable, Tampa Bay Training may provide a separate continuing-education certificate upon request. The certificate will identify the participant, course, date, instructor or provider and eligible instructional contact hours. Breaks, meals, administrative time and examination time are not counted unless the applicable licensing rules expressly allow them.
The participant is responsible for determining whether the course is relevant and acceptable to the participant's licensing board, employer or professional organization. Tampa Bay Training does not guarantee acceptance by every profession, jurisdiction or renewal program.
Florida Professional Engineers currently complete and report continuing education under Florida Board of Professional Engineers requirements. Except for courses that a provider is specifically required to report, the licensee is responsible for reporting credit and retaining supporting records. Review the current [FBPE continuing-education requirements](https://fbpe.org/continuing-education/continuing-education-requirements/) before claiming credit.
After successfully completing the course, contact service@tampabaytraining.com and provide the participant's legal name, course level, class date, profession or license type and license number when required. Keep the continuing-education certificate separately from the official FDOT qualification record.
For current FDOT qualification requirements, consult the [FDOT Temporary Traffic Control program](https://www.fdot.gov/roadway/ttc/default.shtm) and the applicable training handbook.
The FDEP Florida Stormwater, Erosion and Sedimentation Control Inspector program and professional continuing-education credit are separate. FDEP describes FSESCI as a two-day program followed by a proctored examination; a minimum score of 70 percent is required for the Qualified Inspector certificate. See the current [FDEP FSESCI program information](https://floridadep.gov/dear/florida-stormwater-erosion).
Participants who need PDH, CEU or other continuing-education documentation should contact Tampa Bay Training after successful course completion. When applicable, Tampa Bay Training will provide a separate certificate or supporting attendance record consistent with the course and available FDEP resources.
The eligible amount may differ from the scheduled event duration because breaks, meals, administrative activities and examination time may not qualify as instructional contact hours.
The participant is responsible for confirming that FSESCI training is accepted for the participant's specific profession, license and renewal cycle. Tampa Bay Training cannot guarantee that a licensing board or professional association will accept the course or award a particular category of credit.
Participants remain responsible for submitting any required form or certificate and retaining documentation. For FSESCI qualification verification or replacement certificates, use the official [FSESCI program website](https://www.fsesci.com/).
