Important: Full Forklift, Aerial Lift, Backhoe, Excavator, and Skid Steer Loader operator programs are onsite. Classroom completion alone does not qualify or authorize an employee to operate equipment, and Tampa Bay Training does not provide CDL instruction or issue a CDL.

Introduction to Forklift Safety Awareness
Live instructor-led hazard awareness in separate English and Spanish sessions. This class has no hands-on practice or operating evaluation and does not qualify or authorize an operator.
Private-class standard: Programs priced at $99 per participant use a seven-participant billing minimum ($693 standard minimum invoice). Backhoe, Excavator, Skid Steer Loader, Reasonable Suspicion, and J. J. Keller Defensive Driving for CMV Drivers use the same seven-participant minimum at $875 for four hours or $1,400 for eight hours. Alcohol & Drug Testing uses a $875 seven-paid minimum for its four-hour private class; hosted open enrollment has no minimum. The standard maximum is 20; travel and approved special costs are separate.

Operator training & evaluation
Qualification depends on demonstrated workplace performance.
Forklift, Aerial Lift, Backhoe, Excavator, and Skid Steer Loader programs connect knowledge to the equipment and conditions employees actually encounter.
Formal Instruction
Hazards, controls, limitations, inspections, and safe operating principles.
Written Assessment
The participant completes the applicable knowledge examination.
Supervised Practice
Instructor demonstrations and hands-on practice using approved equipment.
Operating Evaluation
The participant demonstrates satisfactory performance on each equipment type in scope.
Employer responsibility remains: Completion documents record training and evaluation performed. They are not government-issued equipment licenses and do not independently authorize operation.

For equipment programs, the host supplies safe operational equipment, manufacturer information, required PPE, representative loads or materials, and a controlled practice and evaluation area.
Fleet, supervisor, and awareness programs also require an appropriate instructional space and access to the employer policies or workplace details needed for meaningful application.
