Most Tampa Bay Training open-enrollment classes are delivered through scheduled live-online instruction. These are not recordings or self-paced courses.
Live-online classes may include:
- Real-time instruction
- Opportunities to ask questions
- Instructor-led discussion
- Interaction with participants from other organizations
- Electronic or printed materials, depending on the course
- Examinations or other completion requirements when applicable
Each participant must be available for the scheduled class and follow the attendance, technology, identification, participation, and assessment requirements stated for that course.
Selected onsite open-enrollment classes are offered throughout Florida. Some are hosted directly by Tampa Bay Training. Others become available when a private client allows outside participants to register for unused seats.
Availability varies. Review the Eventbrite listing for the exact location, schedule, parking or arrival instructions, required equipment, and other preparation information.
Open enrollment may be a good fit for:
- An individual who needs a particular course
- A small organization that does not have enough participants for a private class
- An employer registering several employees for a scheduled class
- A professional maintaining a qualification or completing employer-required training
- An employee who wants live instructor interaction
- A participant who can attend on the scheduled date and time
- An organization that wants access to training without coordinating a dedicated class
Open enrollment is especially useful for groups of one to six. Organizations with seven or more participants should also compare the price, scheduling flexibility, and operational benefits of a private class.
The schedule changes throughout the year. Open-enrollment offerings may include the following course families.

Course requirements vary. Depending on the class, participants may need to:
- Verify a prerequisite or current qualification
- Provide accurate identification and contact information
- Attend the entire scheduled class
- Complete an examination or knowledge check
- Participate in practical activities
- Meet course-specific technology requirements
- Retain certificates, cards, or other completion records
Electronic materials are used when appropriate. Cindy will mail a printed participant package when the class requires one.
The completion document depends on the course. Participants may receive a certificate of completion, provider certificate, qualification documentation, wallet card, or other course-specific record after satisfying the applicable requirements.
Continuing education units (CEUs) or professional development hours (PDHs) may be available for eligible FDOT TTC and FDEP FSESCI classes. Contact Cindy for the applicable information sheet.
Eligible participants may request a CEU or PDH certificate after completing the class. Professional engineers must provide their PE license number. Participants are responsible for submitting and retaining their certificates for credit and audit purposes.
Third-party acceptance of CEUs or PDHs is not guaranteed. Participants should confirm their requirements with the applicable employer, licensing board, regulator, or other authority.
